I spent a week at Sara Academy of Realistic Art in Simrishamn. Inspiring to learn more about oil painting, grisaille underpainting, the values, compressions, transitions of values etc etc. Something I haven't had much (hardly any) experience with yet. My paintings are all done in Acrylic paint but now I´m eager to develop my oilpainting skills!

One of my recent portraits. Her eyes fixed on something, somebody. May be somebody just standing next to you .....
"The girl without an earring"
This painting is a paraphrase of the painting of Johannes Vermeer "The girl with the golden earring". I made my own version of it... I applied a new color palette and was very keen on grabbing the intense look.
